Concession, Box Office and Usher Krewe

Box Office Krewe:

As a member of our Box Office Krewe you will be the first line of customer service each and every customer will come into contact with. You will be responsible for greeting each customer, explaining movie choices, prices and policies and ultimately selling the appropriate movie tickets to guests. You’ll also field questions about field trips, private parties and kids camps,  provide directions to the theatre, answer the phone, and take messages.

Responsibilities:

• Make certain guest service is friendly, helpful and fast
• Complete ticket purchase transactions by:
  • Greeting each guest and identifying tickets requested
  • Reading a computer screen, operating a keyboard and ticket printing machine
  • Completing a credit card transaction or collecting cash and making accurate change
  • Answering any and all guest questions
• Ensure the security of all box office cash and tickets
• Keep box office clean and well organized
• Enforce ratings by ID-ing guests to keep underage guests from accessing auditoriums with adult content
• Answer questions from guests and resolve any concerns
• Assist with the daily opening and closing of the theater depending on shifts worked
  • cleaning theaters, bathrooms and lobby
  • helping setup and break down concession
  • take out trash
• Assist with other functions as instructed by the General Manager

As a member of the Box Office Krewe you’ll also be required to demonstrate:

• Proficient guest service, administrative and follow-up skills
• Comfortable communication and cooperation with guests, supervisors, peers, subordinates, vendors or partners
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with guests in high-volume setting
• Good verbal communication skills as well as math and cash handling skills
• Ability to be on time for all shifts and breaks
• must be available to work nights, weekends, and all major holidays as these are prime movie and retail times.

Concession Krewe:

As a member of our Concession Krewe you will be tasked with selling  fresh, appetizing and properly prepared food and beverage items to all guests and recommending appropriate combos and upsize choices. And smile a lot because you work in Hollywood! You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the concession area and counters, restocking all condiments and food items as needed and working diligently in a  fast paced environment as most concession sales occur 15 minutes prior to show times.

Responsibilities:

• Make certain guest service is friendly, helpful and fast
• Serve popcorn, pour drinks and icees and serve hot dogs, nachos and other available food items
• Greet all guests with a smile, assemble food orders, operate point-of-sale terminals and make accurate change.
• Thank guests for coming to Hollywood Cinemas and make sure that they enjoy their movie
• Transport bags of raw popcorn, cans/boxes of seasoning oil, syrup boxes, buckets of ice and other stock to storage rooms and other areas
• Maintain cleanliness of entire concession stand including cooking equipment, counters, shelves, glass display cases, condiment areas, preparation areas and stock rooms
• Perform daily concession maintenance duties
• Answer questions from guests and resolve any concerns
• Assist with other functions as instructed by the General Manager
• Assist with the daily opening and closing of the theater depending on shifts worked

As a member of our Concession Krewe, you’ll also be required to demonstrate:

• Proficient guest service, administrative and follow-up skills
• Comfortable communication and cooperation with guests, supervisors, peers, subordinates, vendors or partners
• Standing, walking, lifting, twisting and bending on a frequent basis
• Capability to communicate and work effectively with guests in a high-volume setting
• Good verbal communication skills as well as math and cash-handling skills
• Be able to lift 40+ pounds and stand for 5+ hours without sitting
• Ability to be on time for all shifts and breaks
• must be available to work nights, weekends, and all major holidays as these are prime movie and retail times.

Usher & Floor Krewe:

As a member of our Usher & Floor  Krewe, you will be responsable for cleaning and maintaining the atheaters, restrooms and lobbies while controlling access to and from the theatres, entrances and exits. You get the crucial task of tearing tickets and showing guests to their theaters. You will also assist guests by providing directions and answering questions.

Responsibilities:

• Make certain guest service is friendly, helpful and fast
• Maintain facilities that are clean, safe and in good repair
• Provide an experience that is comfortable, distraction-free and picture-perfect
• Control access to theatre by greeting, directing guests and tearing tickets
• Enforce ratings to keep underage guests from accessing theaters with adult content
• Monitor theaters for picture/sound quality, temperature, lighting and guest behavior
• Create a constant presence inside and outside theaters to deter any disruptive conduct
• Assist with crowd control and seating of guests in theaters
• Clean lobbies, restrooms, theaters and all exterior and common areas of facility
• Change marquees, auditorium, lobby signage and poster cases
• Answer questions from guests and resolve any concerns
• Assist with other functions as instructed by the General Manager
• Thank guests for coming to Hollywood Cinemas and make sure that they enjoy their movie
• Transport bags of raw popcorn, cans/boxes of seasoning oil, syrup boxes, buckets of ice and other stock to storage rooms and other areas

• Be able to lift 40+ pounds and stand for 5+ hours without sitting
• Ability to be on time for all shifts and breaks
• Ability to present a calm demeanor that deters people from engaging in disruptive conduct while encouraging positive interaction with guests
• must be available to work nights, weekends, and all major holidays as these are prime movie and retail times.

Management Krewe

We have several full-time manager positions with benefits at our Kenner, Metairie, and LaPlace locations for both our Baskin Robbins and our local independent movie theaters. Managers would need to be able to work at all locations as needed.

There are large number of employees and a grasp of good management skills, especially with respect to teenagers and young adults, is highly important.

Other important skills for this position include:

* prior experience working for franchise companies is a huge plus
* must have a clean, neat and well groomed appearance and be well spoken and have a great personality.
* Point of Sale Software use
* money management and cash counting/ end of day reposts & deposits
* inventory management and control
* employee schedule and break management
* management of and contribution to company social media pages with specials and promotions etc
* must be available to work nights, weekends, and all major holidays as these are prime movie and retail times.
* must have reliable working transportation & cell phone
